Content Guidelines
Last updated 13 July 2026
These rules apply everywhere
These Guidelines apply to every face image, source video, template, instruction, preview, regeneration and final output used with Avatyx, whether kept private or shared publicly. They supplement the Terms of Service. A violation involving only private media is still a violation.
Adults only
- Every identifiable or realistically depicted person must be at least 18 years old.
- Do not use childhood photos, school-age media, images of a person when they were under 18, or media that makes a person appear under 18.
- If you do not know or cannot reliably verify a person's age, do not upload or use the media.
- Do not use Avatyx for a minor even with permission from the minor, a parent or a guardian.
- Do not ask the system to make an adult look like a child or combine adult and childlike sexual characteristics.
Specific informed permission is required
Before using any real person's face, body, voice or media, confirm all of the following:
- the person is an adult and is the person they claim to be;
- they know their likeness will be processed and altered using AI face-swap or generative tools;
- they understand the intended scene, context, audience and whether the output will be published;
- they have freely agreed to that specific use without deception, coercion or pressure;
- you hold the necessary rights to the face image, source video, audio, template and other material; and
- you can stop using the media if consent is withdrawn or disputed.
General permission to use a photo, a public social-media post, employment, a past relationship, payment for unrelated work or the fact that media is publicly accessible is not by itself permission for an AI face swap.
Examples of permitted use
- Using your own current adult likeness in a lawful creative or entertainment project.
- Using another adult who gave documented, informed permission for the specific AI alteration and intended publication.
- Using a fully fictional or synthetic adult character that does not copy or falsely imply the identity of a real person.
- Creating authorized commercial or artistic media where all talent, footage, music, brands and distribution rights have been cleared.
Permitted use must still follow every rule below and applicable law.
Never use minors or child sexual abuse material
The following are always prohibited:
- any input, reference or output depicting or using the likeness of a person under 18;
- real, simulated, fictional or AI-generated sexual content involving a minor or a person who appears to be a minor;
- nudity or depiction of sexual organs of a minor, including realistic synthetic images;
- sexualized clothing, poses, dialogue, environments or scenarios involving or suggesting a minor;
- age-regression, "barely legal", schoolchild, family-role or other age-play content used for sexualization;
- grooming, exploitation, trafficking, solicitation, sextortion or attempts to normalize sexual interest in minors; and
- uploading suspected child sexual abuse material for testing, moderation research or to see whether Avatyx will detect it.
No sexual or intimate content
- No nudity, exposed sexual organs or breasts, sexual acts, pornography, fetish content or sexually suggestive scenes.
- No intimate imagery created or shared without the depicted adult's specific consent.
- No revenge pornography, voyeurism, hidden-camera content, sexual humiliation, sextortion or threats to publish intimate media.
- No placing a person's face into sexual media, even if the body, scene or performer is synthetic.
- No altering clothing, pose or body to make a person appear nude, undressed or sexualized.
- No advertising sexual services or using output to deceive users on dating, adult-content or social platforms.
No unauthorized or deceptive deepfakes
- No face swap, voice clone or realistic impersonation of a person who did not specifically authorize it.
- No fabricated confession, statement, endorsement, action, event, call, meeting, message, evidence or documentary footage.
- No impersonation for fraud, scams, phishing, account recovery, social engineering, extortion or reputational harm.
- No content designed to make viewers believe a person said or did something that did not occur.
- No removal or concealment of provenance information, watermarks or machine-readable disclosure signals.
A consensual creative face swap must still be clearly disclosed as AI-generated or altered whenever a reasonable viewer might otherwise believe it is authentic.
Public figures and politics
- Do not use politicians, candidates, government officials, royal family members, celebrities, influencers, journalists, activists, executives or other public figures without documented authorization.
- Do not create election, referendum, protest, war, public-health or public-interest content that falsely attributes words, conduct or endorsement to a real person.
- Do not create political persuasion, fundraising, advertising or propaganda through impersonation or a realistic fabricated event.
- Satire or parody is not permitted when it uses an unauthorized real person's likeness through Avatyx.
High-risk contexts are prohibited
Do not use Avatyx output to make, support or influence decisions involving:
- identity verification, biometric access, security screening or account authentication;
- law enforcement, immigration, legal proceedings, evidence or witness credibility;
- healthcare, diagnosis, treatment, mental health or emergency response;
- banking, credit, insurance, investments, benefits, taxation or financial eligibility;
- employment, worker monitoring, education, admissions, housing or access to essential services; or
- news reporting or any claim that output documents a real person, place or event.
No abuse, exploitation or illegal activity
- No harassment, stalking, bullying, threats, defamation, doxxing or targeted humiliation.
- No hateful or discriminatory content targeting protected or vulnerable people.
- No graphic violence, sexual violence, torture, exploitation, trafficking or promotion of self-harm.
- No infringement of copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, personality, contractual or data-protection rights.
- No malware, fraud, illegal goods or services, instructions to commit wrongdoing or concealment of criminal activity.
- No attempts to bypass moderation, crop around detection, disguise a prohibited person, split one prohibited request into several requests, create replacement accounts or otherwise evade enforcement.
One clear adult and one prominent person
Use one current, clear adult face image and a source clip with one prominent adult person. Group media, obscured faces, ambiguous ages, multiple prominent people and media that cannot be safely classified may be rejected. Technical acceptance does not mean the media is authorized or compliant.
Disclose every realistic AI alteration
- Clearly label realistic output as "AI-generated" or "AI-altered" at the time it is shown or shared.
- Use the destination platform's synthetic-media or altered-content disclosure tools.
- Keep the disclosure visible and understandable; do not hide it only in tags, comments or fine print.
- Do not describe the output as raw, original, candid, documentary, leaked or authentic.
- A clean editor export can omit the pixel-baked label only after explicit confirmation; you must still disclose the AI alteration when sharing it where required.
- Do not remove any watermark, provenance signal or machine-readable metadata included with the output.
Safety systems can make mistakes
Avatyx may use automated classifiers, provider moderation and human review. These controls can miss prohibited material or reject permitted material. A successful upload, passed check, available preview or completed render is not permission, legal clearance or confirmation that the content is safe. You are responsible for reviewing the request and output before taking any further action.
If unsafe content appears unexpectedly
- Stop the generation workflow and do not approve or regenerate the job.
- Do not download, copy, save, screen-record, transmit, publish or show the preview or output to anyone.
- Use the safety report form and provide only the job reference and a description. Do not attach or resend suspected illegal material.
- If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement authority.
Avatyx may immediately restrict access, quarantine or remove the material, preserve relevant records, suspend the account and notify providers or competent authorities where permitted or required by law.
Enforcement and appeals
We may reject media, cancel generations, remove output, restrict features, suspend or permanently terminate accounts, limit free previews and preserve or disclose relevant records where we reasonably believe these rules or law have been violated. Severe child safety, sexual abuse, fraud, impersonation or evasion violations may result in immediate permanent action. Repeated violations may result in progressively longer restrictions. Where an appeal is available, use the support form and include the job reference and a concise explanation. Do not resubmit the disputed media.
Report unauthorized use
If your likeness, protected media or rights appear in Avatyx without permission, submit a takedown report. Include the exact job reference or URL, the reason the use is unauthorized, your contact information and a good-faith confirmation that the report is accurate. Do not attach suspected child sexual abuse material or other illegal intimate media.
